Last year we were introduced to TED Talks through Kid President.  This is one of the best motivational short videos for kids from 4 - 124... Yeah, you could live that long.  Healthy!  :-)

Hi All! (September 2012)

I found another cool video that I really liked and thought that a good way to share them (and save them for the future) is to create a page so I could embed them.  So here are some:

I Love Inspirational Videos and Speeches, especially Commencement Speeches.  Here is one that is worth the 20 minutes.  I would like to share this one with my Artist son, Simon, who is about to embark on a new life-changing journey any day now.  Never forget the essence of these words.  Ever.

This is a video that combines two videos of two speeches that really show what I believe education has become.

Last school year, on "Magic Day" which featured "The Muppets", another HUGE influence in my childhood, I was captured by the following song.  I've been working on creating a video of our students performing this song.  will.i.am does great work... and (once again, my opinion) has helped create one of the best songs to be played on Sesame Street.  (Note: Lyrics will play if you click on the cc in the lower right corner!)

Here is the Will I Am video with the Lyrics!

Here is the Playing for Change video - Stand By Me!  I think every student in the world should watch this video.  It is inspired.  It is a project that is worthy of discussion... and a good place to start to build our own ideas for projects.  http://www.playingforchange.com/

One of my all-time favorite songs is sung by the Playing for Change musicians... INCREDIBLE!

From two years ago, not only was I introduced to the Autotune program, but reintroduced to Carl Sagan.  Personally, I view any human who wonders about THE BIG QUESTIONS in life as heading in the right direction...

One of my childhood inspirations to become a teacher in elementary school was Mr. Rogers!  While in college, I often thought about creating a classroom with the comfortable atmosphere and creativity that Dr. Fred Rogers brought to his PBS television show!  My students first brought this video to my attention.  One day, a few years ago, a student raised her hand and said, "Mr. Tozer, did you ever hear of Mr. Rogers?"

Ever since I was High School, Bruce Lee was one of my heroes.  For me, he represented "The Body" in my personal "Body, Mind, and Music" triad.  I still have music, but soon out of High School learned to add "Soul" in place of music, as it is an idea encompassing the greater self.  This past summer, The "Become Water, My Friend" quote came up in something I was learning about, and then found the following video featured in YouTube tonight, Labor Day, 2012.  It is violent (as it contains clips from Bruce Lee movies) BUT the message far outweighs the violence, in my opinion.

Songs I like that have been mixed with REALLY COOL Video!!!

BEFORE any presentation, RESEARCH, PLAN, and attempt to fully understand what you are saying.  This is a scene from an Adam Sandler movie with a response to a presentation where none of the above happened.
