Technology Resources

Page history last edited by Mr. Tozer 13 years ago

I borrowed these websites from Salem, MA' s Moodle Site.... Great ideas for technology in education!

(Many sites here promote apple and i...stuff.  Since we have pc based tools in our district, it may require some translation in either hardware, software, etc.  I'm interested in getting plugged into apple once again.  I'm looking for a grant to really move us along with technology.  I'd love to be a testing site for technology in the classroom. - the future is here, NOW!)

Meet Cameron - this is his story.

This is a video about a 6th Grader who is really into technology, especially in his middle school.

Here is a pdf about research using technology in the classroom in California - powerful information!

Here is a teacher using ipods to increase reading scores (fluency, expression, xxx)

Voice Thread - I need to explore this more.  It seems to be a great way to interact between classes as well as have students present topics....

As I continue to find good websites, I need a good place to store them so I can look back at them in the future... when there's more time.  I find myself collecting many ideas and resources, but I don't organize them well.  This can be a sort of dumping place for ideas so I can organize them in the future.  Or, maybe create a spreadsheet and organize them into categories now... but I'm not sure exactly how I'd do that.

I'll experiment here with a few ideas:

Furture of Edcuation  By Grade Level   Resource by Subject Area  Children Museums School Resources  Technology  Government

ipads better... but cost.  Better to write, etc.  ipad2... doc extention to project to class.  Control your computer from your ipad... write/annotate while you walk around the room.

ipods.. better cost, more of a chance to get...
